KHADI COTTON

India believes in celebrating our past victories and continuing their #heritage towards our golden future.
Ancient or modern, #fashion has always played a crucial role in our reforms and movements, especially during our freedom struggle.
Khadi, as a fabric, originated from the households of the poor weavers, which eventually became the sign of our struggle against the British Raj.
The swadeshi movement brought along the fame of khadi and pushed people towards its #manufacture and use.
It is made originally from cotton yarn, by the use of a spinning wheel or the chakra. Silk and work are also spun by hand according to regions and their requirements in the diverse land of India.

Khadi is also known as khaddar and is mostly used in the Indian subcontinent. It is is a versatile fabric that keeps you cool in summers and warm in winters, replicating the hospitality of India as a nation.
#Khadi or #Khaddar is a representation of what India is as a country on its own. It signifies simplicity and comfort in true spirits.
Summers are a great time to try some khadi if you haven't yet, it's not a fabric to make your clothing, it's a piece of the great Indian struggle because of which today we live independently.
We at #PANACHE create our pieces to bring together artforms from different parts of India and let you enjoy them through fashion.
